A Popular Treatment for Dazzling Teeth

In modern cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers have earned a reputation as one of the most successful procedures for brightening smiles. This popularity is due to their ability to replicate the lifelike appearance and luster of natural teeth. Of course, the success of porcelain veneers is tied to a dentist’s ability to properly plan a case, select appropriate materials, prepare teeth conservatively, implement high-caliber finishing and polishing, and effectively reinforce continued maintenance. Thankfully, Radiant Exceptional Dentistry checks off all these boxes and more, with two talented cosmetic dentists who have 100 years of combined experience! For a gorgeous smile worthy of capturing on film, consider porcelain veneers. Dr. Reece and Dr. Jouett, both experienced cosmetic dentists, can mask chips, gaps, permanent stains and other smile imperfections in two or three visits to our Bryan–College Station dental office.

First, they will assess your teeth, gums and bite. They will also note your skin tone, facial symmetry and size of your facial features. With this information, they and a talented ceramic artist will design and handcraft your custom porcelain veneers. Placement usually requires just one visit. Your new shapelier, stain-resistant smile will allow you to enjoy life without worrying about your image!

Candidates for Porcelain Veneers

If you have good oral health, you’re likely an ideal candidate for dental veneers. It is, however, important to keep in mind that porcelain veneers aren’t intended to resolve functional tooth issues such as a malocclusion (poor bite). The good news is that veneers are a perfect option for any of the following smile issues:

Get a Hollywood Smile with Our Customized Process

From tooth preparation to final bonding, our treatment process typically takes as little as two visits to complete. This makes porcelain veneers one of the fastest methods for resolving a variety of cosmetic concerns. Our porcelain veneer process is highly personalized and detailed. After our cosmetic dentists assess your teeth, gums and bite to determine if you’re a good candidate, they look at your skin tone, as well as your facial symmetry and features. During your first appointment, a few millimeters are removed from the front surface of your tooth enamel. This ensures your veneers will fit naturally and comfortably over your existing teeth. Next, impressions are taken of your modified teeth. These are shared with a talented master ceramicist, who will handcraft your veneers in an ideal size, shape and color to complement your other teeth and facial aesthetics. You’ll wear a temporary set of dental veneers to protect your teeth and “try out” your new smile until your permanent veneers come back from the dental lab.

When your restorations are ready, you’ll return to our cosmetic dentistry practice in Bryan–College Station, TX. During this visit, we’ll check the final fit of your veneers, make any necessary small adjustments, then bond them securely to your teeth. While veneers won’t stain like natural teeth, it’s important to brush and floss twice a day. It’s also advised that you avoid exceptionally hard foods to minimize the risk of fracturing a veneer. Porcelain veneers that complement your gum and lip line, facial features and skin tone deliver a red-carpet-worthy smile for decades to come!
